Thread: Which tent to buy?

I recently went to the AGM of the discovery 4wd club, as I am a member.

3-4 members were camping in Turbo tents and all were sick of the hassle of packing them up and were considering ditching them, two I recall for Oz Tents.
Funny, the best tent I have had , I have still got. It is a Big W dome that cost me $78 AFAIR , but has great headroom as it has a cast fitting where the poles meet in the middle which has sockets offset downwards.

I have been through some serious storms in it without a problem. It must have been a cancelled order form somewhere else as they are no longer available.
IMHO Oztents are great but pretty exxy, and I hate roofracks.

I have no problems packin away my turbo lite tent maby the cotton type turbo's may be harder but mine being polly packs easly ..

Only drama i have now with mine is the zippers seem to be of poor quality and the one for the door is now buggered from what seems to be corrosion of the metal slide bit as it wont lock the 2 sides of the zipper together right and i have also noticed a few of the other zips have some white corrosion on them maby all the beach use it gets could be tha cause tho only being just over 6 months old im not to happy with the zips looks like another phone call andrepair job coming up

We did a trial set up and pack when we got the tent. Won't use it until mid-Oct now. Anyway it was a piece of cake to assemble and disassemble. The problem came when we went to put it in the bag. Like most tents there's a specific way of doing it. Black Wolf now have an instructional video on the site. A few minutes later back outside and it was all very simple.

I wouldn't trust this person.....I asked for pics 10 days ago and he still hasn't posted any

I'll get there, been sick in bed most of last week. I'll post pics in mid-late October

I will be on my cruise then in the Malacca Straits.....don't want to miss out on pic's........will hold you to them
