Don't know if those aluminium beer kegs would stand up to the heat?
Still, a puddle of aluminium woul dbe easier to weigh in

I have a feeling some of the old ones are alloy though

I remember my old man once telling me about a fella. He was a scallop diver in Hobart who died; from memory. He had used a keg as a pressure whatsername for his compressor. It couldn't handle the pressure, blew up and took half his tinny with it

I guess its just as naughty to have them as milk crates.
Andy, kegs are useless as milk crates.

Go and steal some milk crates if you need some.
