Ours got to the point where the cooling coils in the freezer were hot.
I suspect it has completely de-gassed, and I can't find a local service center in Hobart.

I have an old 35 litre 3way that generally works OK - as usual very well on gas, Ok on 240v and so so on 12v.
Manages about 3 degrees on 240v but as time goes by it slowly gets warmer - over about 4 weeks to about 10 degrees.
Rolling the fridge around so the liquid gets mixed up brings it back to full performance for a while then it slowly starts to warm up again. The element also freezes up.
I suspect it just needs a service and maybe the liquid changed or topped up. Does anyone know if there is anyone who can service these type of fridges in the Canberra area.
Thanks
Garry

There is a guy in south road penguin tassie, he always has campers and caravans pulled up there. He turns them around in a day. Had our camper 3 way serviced there and it seems to run a heap better.

when mine started playing up just took it to a caravan yard, they do fix them up but as it was made in 1978 i decided to toss it and bought an engel its way heaps better like when you get up north and in the summer it dont turn the van into an oven
Hi,
true, but in Tassie there are only a few nights we fret about any 'extra' heat, mostly its a case of 'any contributions gratefully accepted'.
Thus I will look at getting it fixed, but my next van will have a 12V compressor, in-spite of the extra noise (just turn it down a tad at night).
cheers
