    ok take two. Plastic was crap, and Araldite doesn't like chopping boards...

    Picked up a 2" C-clamp today which works wonderfully. 100 times sturdier than the Quick Grip was ever gonna be!
    Tacked on a small strip of steel to spread the load and ground a bit off the bottom of the clamp to get it sitting nicely.

    Takes 10 seconds to screw on, the tarp eyelet slips nicely over the top and all for $5. perfect
