    The hubs are different as the inner & outer bearings are closer together on 24 spline setups.
    As the bearings are closer, the stub axle is shorter.
    The 24 spline axle itself is also shorter to suit.

    yeah and on 1992 onwards it had all of that except the 24 spline centre.. so the axles are the same as a 24 spline except for the fact that they are 10

    Well, I've never heard of 2 types of 10 spline axles in the Range Rovers.

    As far as I know, if you have 10 spline axles, you have the wide hubs.
    24 spline axles = narrow hubs.
    There's bugger all difference to the naked eye though.

    you and the blokes from rover land in bayswater but i can assure u mine are different as i compared the two.. they are exactly the same as the 24 spline except they are 10 spline...
    1992 onwards was a stepping stone to the bigger stronger axles

    Those stoopid rare 10 splines have the same axle end as the 24 spline sruff, so I'd assume they're the right stubs and hubs

    Yep 2 types, I first came across it on Hymie's Discovery, I didn't believe it either

    There you go, learn something new everyday. I'll have to check out the EPC tomorrow & see when the changeover was.

    If your still after axles etc, Im pulling the axles,CVs,Crown wheels & pinions and centers out of my 1994 soft dash classic to fit KAM lockers F & R etc etc etc.

    We could work something out if your interested and I am in Ferntree Gully.
