Yes thats right another tyre question?

Sorry to ask a tyre question on a RRC again but I could not find in previous posts whether i will have dramas using 245/70/16 on my classic with EAS.
I want a bigger tyre as its current 205/80/16s are HT's and useless and I want a little more diff clearance as i heading up trailer with mates in Cruisers with 33"s.

No problems with that size at all. They may rub on the front radius arms on full lock but depends on how the lock stops have been set anyway.

245/70x16 Bridgestone RD694 are almost exactly the same diameter as a BFG 205x16 Long trail.
My speedo is 5% fast and was 5% fast with the 205s.

Others may vary but not by much, and you will have no clearance probs. you may have to wind out the stops a tiny bit.

    G'day HPR50

My neighbour has a 87 Hiline and it came with optional 225 x16's Michelin's on it's original grey 3 spoke mags, and has had no dramas but 225,000+ out of the Michies I run 235/75 x 15 on RRmags Cheviot type and have no problems (29.7 in) just a little bit of mud sprayed up the body.

    cheers

    G`day

Our MA softy LSE with EAS has 235/70/16 and our BA 85 with coils has 205/80/16 at present it also has 235/75/15 , you`ll find i think there won`t be a lot of difference as to diff heights between the two or three including the 15s because there isn`t with ours .

I`d have to look but i think the LSE tyres are std size and are on the tyre plate as such .

    Cheers
