Really interested in doing the same thing to my 1990 RRC, I checked out the Trigger-Wheels website but I'm confused about which kit to use. You went for the Megajolt but there is also a Microsquirt kit. Could you explain the differences and why you chose Megajolt

Megajolt is an ignition only system, alot of people use it to convert their v8 from single coil - distributor based igniton, to coil packs using a crank angle sensor to trigger the spark
It eliminates the Lucas bugs and creates (if wired correctly) a much more reliable and tuneable ignition system
Microsquirt is a fuel and ignition management system, much more capable than Megajolt, and is identical in features to Megasquirt II, although it is more expensive and cannot be modified as easily

I might write a tutorial one day on how i converted my 3.5 to Megasquirt, including costs incurred and hiccups along the way
Has any one used the ford ef edis wheel? It should fit with a little lathe work to the rover balancer.

Probably the same as mine - a KME system bought from ELKO. Have a look here: KME - Manufacturer of CNG and LPG (GPL) electronic systems to see if it looks the sameQuote:

thanks mate, that's what I was looking for! makes things alot simpler now, better than paying some other bloke to do the tuning
now all i need to worry about megasquirt wise is an ignition table to suit the LPG
have you done any tuning of your lpg system?
I am doing the same same to my 4.4 P76 engined 110 at the moment. I have ordered my trigger wheel and bracket from Chris in the UK and am now chasing the ford bits to suit. I have bought two new crank angle sensors and am about to buy a secondhand EDIS8 kit from the states. I would dearly like two EDIS8 modules in case it blows up on some bush track and in the middle of nowhere. I really like the EDIS8 with Megajolt / Megasquirt system being that if the homemade ECU was to fail then it will limp home at 10degrees advance which is a handy feature.
I have nearly finished soldering my squirt together. I intend to use a 3.5 3.9 EFI manifold on the P76 using spacer plates and will cut the OEM throttle body off the manifold and weld a mounting plate to connect a ford throttle body.
The plan is to do the ignition first though, and for fuel later I may just use a EA falcon TBI unit on the P76 manifold. The P76 manifold has a Stromberg WW carb normally and it appears the EA TBI would just about fit directly.
The best feature I can't wait to fit is a chopped down dizzy which is just there to turn the oil pump, it should work really well.

What are peoples thoughts on the plug on Ford spark plug wires. I noticed you can get normal style coils that allow generic plug wires??
