Put a new one in, they must run over 83 deg to get deasent fuel economy.

there both my 86...... there on as soon as the air con is ...and switched by the temp switch on the thermostat housing when needed (no idea of temp) iregardless of aircon

my mistake. i only thought they were connected to the aircon. i know the temp switch they use is the one on the thermostat housing. i`ve used this switch before when i`ve fitted after market thermos with aircon removed and it worked well.

    G'day Folks

Have I missed something here?? an 82model 5speed, all models prior to 85 were LT95 4speed,and with the release of the 85 model came the 5spd LT77 and LT230 transfer,an updated dash, front seatbelts in the pillars, and the term phase 2,the last of the 3spd Autos, and the 86 model the first of the 4spd ZF's, so I would take this to be a modified transmission in an early vehicle, or it is an 85 model

    cheers
