range rover classic air suspension
hi all id like to fit a set of 31, 10 r 15 mud tyres to my range rover with air suspension. the problem is if the bags drop to load positin the wheel will sit against the wheel arches. can anyone advise if spacers can be fitted under air springs, from looking id have to extend the sensor arms and also maybe the sway bar arms for full height another option would be to cut the bottom spring mount and weld a 30 to 50mm aluminium billet into the cut. we both like the ride of the air bags and dont require a huge lift but want the above tyres for off road.

If you're only concerned about the rubbing when the suspension is right down, you could fit slightly longer (or spaced) bump stops.

You can program the various heights of the EAS using a laptop with free software EASunlock. Should be able to get the access position that little bit higher to clear your tyres. Or you could always just not press the down button.

31" should clear if you lip the guards. Be a lot easier than tricking the EAS. Keep the car low as possible as will handle better. Even my 120", as crazy it looks, it can still ride lower then a stock defender. Great for the highway
I'm over the suspension lift if possible. The caster, then shocks, then radios arms, then trailing arms, then the A frame ball joint, then brake pipes etc.
If you just want to fit the 31" tyres, attack the guards. It will be much easier and it will still drive very nicely.
