    G'ay Folks

The "Highway Yellow"/"Traffic Yellow" is/was the same colour as what the SWB Landrover "Game" models was painted in, I am aware of a couple of Rangies that were built in that colour, special/govt order from memory, and as stated the paint was from RTA/Main Roads & Railways contracts, Railways Leyland small buses were painted in that yellow,as was a lot of plant. the more commonly seen vehicle was the "Game" Yellow and Black with Sunrasia wheels and black seats and trim

It was also a Morris Marina colour.

    cheers

It's a bit difficult from the light in the picture to tell exactly but I'd guess it's the same yellow as my 1981 Rangie - Yellow Devil. Not sure of paint code but if I remember, I'll check tomorrow for you.

I've seen one bright yellow, approx AA Yellow, that is original. It is/was owned by one of the sons of Dungog's ex-LR dealer, Owen Rumbel. (Not Murray, the other brother). I saw the car some years ago when I stayed at Owen's one night.

I remember the brother talking about the colour but I can't remember what he said. The next time I see Murray, I'll ask him.

I may have a photo somewhere.
