Well, the washer pump arrived (yaay!) but the electrical connector is different (boo!) so I need to work something out there.

I also thought I would tackle my distibutor which turned out to be a monster job- one of the screws that holds on the vac advance was totally stripped so when vac was applied the whole assembly would move outwards. I went and got some nuts & bolts to fix it and promptly dropped a nut down inside the distributor Grrrr

I took it all to bits and have fixed it as best I can- the gear was hitting the sensor so I opened up the air gap a tad, just enough to stop it hitting.

Then, right at the end, I discover the oil pump is keyed to the dizzy.
Andrew at LRA helped me out over the phone and I've almost got it right- at first I was 180° out and produced a huge backfire and now the oil pump thingy is out of whack again so I called it quits as I've been working on it for 9 hours.

Serves me right for attempting it on Fri 13th lol
Am hoping to get her running tomorrow, wish me luck! I need it!

Cheers,
Dave
