Hi guys saw this mentioned in another thread just wanting some opinions on this idea, is it registerable? Easy enought to bolt up?
Cheers
How much approximately would tht setup cost do you think?
How long is a piece of string? How much work are you prepared to do? How much do you do to the TDi before you fit it? If you paid someone else to fit a reconditioned TDi I would budget $10K+. Do it yourself as cheap as possible and it might cost $1K more than a donor wreck if you can find one suitable.
Best place for all the bits is a donor D1 with all the bits you need. Engineers cost what they charge. I paid $300 for a body mod way back in 1996, engineer did no work except write a short report.
Ask rrturboD or do a search of his posts on the subject as he has an ancient RRwith a 300Tdi in it and I know it goes very well.

No worries fitting at Tdi300, and suggest that you get a doner vehicle, cause that way you get the engine mounts, radiator, intercooler, etc etc

PS ... nothing ancient about a 88 RRC!
