    Brad,
    your quite correct. there is a grub screw under the RH shear bolt that secures the barrel. considering the switch/lock/barrel is purchased as s complete assembly im just going too knock out the other bolt and replace the whole thing!

    Ign sw repairs next...

    Thanks all for the info... my ign key-switch sometimes does'nt 'unlock', poking the key in a dozen or so times usually gets it going... - Internals of the lock most likely worn beyond tolerances, so I'll be looking at a new barrel very soon.

    Is there any reason why a Locksmith could not re-set a new barrel to accept the old key ?

    The only way I'd accept that...is to sell the Rover. - until then ONE key and a toggle switch + push-button starter will do me fine if needs be!
