    Angry Cactus clutch

Well one of the more important bits that is Range rover on my ute has carked it. The centre of the clutch has spun loose. Now is this a regular event with the Rangy clutch ? Would the motor being a isuzu diesel and the clutch for the petrol motor make a difference ? Clutch plate still had plenty of life in it, looked hardly worn.

You may closer to the truth than you think. That`s why I`m thinking diesel clutch. I`m guessing unless I put the ute on a dyno, but that motor was a truck motor and was meant to pull several tons all the time. So should have a bucket load of torque. Most likely a tad to much for a rangy clutch ? Conversion has smaller rangy fly wheel bolted to the much larger fly wheel of the 4bb1. So there is a indication that there was a much larger clutch, at least 50mm bigger in diameter .
Hmm Greendale, 4wdriving, telling yarns , 4wdriving, moderate drinking 4wdriving, camping etc etc Some serious thinking as there is a long weekend after that week end.
