Well one of the more important bits that is Range rover on my ute has carked it. The centre of the clutch has spun loose. Now is this a regular event with the Rangy clutch ? Would the motor being a isuzu diesel and the clutch for the petrol motor make a difference ? Clutch plate still had plenty of life in it, looked hardly worn.

You may closer to the truth than you think. That`s why I`m thinking diesel clutch. I`m guessing unless I put the ute on a dyno, but that motor was a truck motor and was meant to pull several tons all the time. So should have a bucket load of torque. Most likely a tad to much for a rangy clutch ? Conversion has smaller rangy fly wheel bolted to the much larger fly wheel of the 4bb1. So there is a indication that there was a much larger clutch, at least 50mm bigger in diameter .The Izusu must be to powerfull for you to handle![]()
Hmm Greendale, 4wdriving, telling yarns , 4wdriving, moderate drinking4wdriving, camping etc etc
Some serious thinking as there is a long weekend after that week end.
