No horn or interior lights?? 81 2door Rangie

Ok,Just bought my first Rangie, doing the RWC last week I had to fix my worn indicator stalk because the indicators weren't canceling, during this process i accidentally touched the horn circuit with a screwdriver and popped the fuse.....So since I didn't have any glass fuses handy,I used the old ciggi wrapper trick for a temp fix.....sorted it out! horn and everything was working fine.
So i buy some new fuses,Whack one in and now the horn n int light dont work at all?
Only thing that happened is i smashed the glass in the "foil fuse" removing it,could i have possibly damaged the connection? or just blown something a bit further down the line?
Yes,I know i could go use a test light and figure it out,but i dont wanna stab a bunch of random wires in trial n error only to create further problems down the track!
Just some guidance would be much appreciated
    Cheers

You really need a multi meter or a testlight before you get excited. They are good for testing all sorts of things. You can always make a primitive test light out of a spare globe and holder. Also cheap fuses are crud, they are often just glued together. Find some end-soldered fuses, eg Narva.

ok,there's a short somewhere behind the fuse box....I was playing around with some wires and the light came on,then off, haha so i whacked some duct tape around it and it came on....sorted!
for the time being anyway.....I got a rego appointment later today,if they had of asked me to blast the horn i would of been out of there,to fix it!
    No joy!

but im confident my duct tape fix will get me through for now,ill pull it appart at a later date and re cover some wires, try to fix the short

It's prob from someone stabbing **** previously with a test light.......
