    Front Recovery Points

    Im having trouble finding some sort of after market recovery points to put onto the front end of my 1975 rangie.
    It seems the only option is to get some thing fabricated or to drill holes through the chassis and put some crush tubes in with real long bolts etc,
    How have you guys delt with this?
    or is it just that every body knows a good rangie never needs to be recovered

    Yes usually they are called bumper bar bolts. They are tubed and you can fit larger HT bolts.

    Why reinvent the wheel?

    and its just a matter of finding a hook with the same spacing between holes as the bumper bar holes in my chassis?
    This is where i failed earlier.

    Often wondered if the Disco1 recovery points fit.

    I use Jate rings with Cap bolts 12.9 in the front chassis bolt holes.

    I made mine by getting a couple of generic hooks.

    I then made up a mount by getting 1/4 inch plate steel and cutting the steel into a triangle shape and drilling holes in the appropriate places to have the hooks as close as possible to the chassis rail.

    Its a lot of work but a lot cheaper than buying them.
