You know you have to drive the car over ( i think ) 15kph to extinguish the light.? Plus the ABS bleed procedure must be followed to the letter but can be done on your own
just bled the accumulator outlet(on abs block.) does anyone have the step by step sequence to follow as i'm thinking about flushing the entire system while im toying around, elswhere it says that 2l of fluid is required to do this. chris
reg seems to be sorted, brake warning light out after bleeding pump accumulator and valve block. last question (i hope) on this pointhow many applications of the brakes should I get before the pump kicks back in?
If it helps anyone following this thread, I got a couple of used ABS pumps and accumulators from Classic LSE in UK. Good service, and good prices for RRC stuff.
An expert on the WABCO system told me that the secret to long life is to change the brake fluid yearly, regardless of distance travelled.
Apparantly its very sensitive to problems caused by moisture... And that means ALL the stuff, from reservoir to each caliper.
If it still plays up... - I'll bring the marshmallows
