    C4 to P76 adapter

    Hi all,

I've bought a C4/lt95 conversion to replace a very nervous & slipping BW35 in my '78 worked 4.4. It came with flexplate, crank adapter & bell housing adapter. I've done some trial hookups with a spare 4.4 on the shed floor & it appears I need a different crank to flexplate adapter. has anyone done this conversion or know where I might optain such an adapter, or is it just down to a local engineering shop to make one up?

    regards,
    adam

    G`day Adam ,

    Rover Centre , 460 Ballarto Rd , Skye , PH 03 97822630 .

If they haven`t , should be able to point you .

If not Ritters did this C4/lt95 3.5 conversion when there was no factory auto and i would think they`d know about the 4.4 as well .

Thanks for the info Peter. I should have thought of that, Rovacentre supplied the wilpower manifold for my 4.4.
I sourced the 4.4 conversion bits from Ritters in '95. Are Ross & Pat still around?
There wouldn't be many people around who remember about the old conversions.

    Thanks,
    Adam

Re Ritters old retainers...No, my understanding is that they sold the business some time ago. Some of the mechanics are heading for gold watches however...

Noel at Ritters was a big help for me when I was putting one of their C9 conversions in my POS. He was around when they were doing them in the early 80's. Might still be there.
