    squeek in wipers RRc

Does anone have a trick to lubricate the windscreen wiper mechanism in a Rangie classic without having to remove the scuttle panel?

My LHS wiper arm has recently developed a squeek and I'd like it gone!

Switch the wipers off - it'll stop the squeak every time.

Sorry, not much help I guess.

    Thanks Roger!

So next time I need to go somewhere in the rain, I trust you'll come over, sit on the bonnet and keep the screen dry?

After a couple of clicks, I bet you'll be squeaking too!

AFAIR the mechanism has nylon bushes on the pivots so unless they are worn out it should not squeak. You will usually have more problems like an increased swing of the wipers hitting the A pillar etc.

One thing that I have found helps is to just pour a little engine oil down the bushes at the windscreen wiper pivot, as I think these are bronze impreganted and they get dry over time. You may be surprised how much quicker they go.
