    Eurovox stereo problems

    Hi,
have just purchased a 94 soft dash with Eurovox (9280) 10 stacker. Stereo not working and when replaced blown fuse thought I was on a winner but no display. Checked fuses again and ran test light through. Seem to have power to the back of the unit and has power at the stacker end but no display. When reset button depressed, dim backlight but out as soon as reset released. No go when inserting a tape either. I have the code but no use at this stage without a display. Little security light flashes but thats about it. Any clues???

    G`day ,

if the security light is flashing with the ignition off , that is as should be .

If it`s flashing with the ignition on , it needs the code entered , even if there is no display , just go through the motions as detailed in the hand book , radio book or the code card .

If you are keen to keep the stereo ,Eurovox in Melbourne will repair it for you, but it will probably cost much more than buying a new head unit with all the fruit.
