Thread: Battery Light

Hi All,

Was cruising home last night and the battery warning light came on - the weird part was it seemed to be virtually off at idle, but would glow brighter with revs.

Put the multi meter on the battery - 14v at idle, so so as far as I know the alternator is fine. Any other ideas what might cause this?

I'll second this by adding something I noticed.

SOME of the time when I have started my rangie I have noticed ever so slightly that the battery light is glowing a little - rev it and it goes away. This makes me worry about the alt - charging seems fine - I have two batterys that get charged by the one alt.

Any ideas or things to check with this situation?
