Be very careful with the donor vehicle. Theres a lot of "cheap" packages around that don't have the ignition set for the ecu and without it forget it. Won't run, needs std ecu with ignition key circuit for security function plus any piggyback. And that'll be only a std non vvti engine. Not much you can do afterwards except turbos and the inlet manifolds aren't too postitve for that even.

We set out for a small build on a vvti UZ. 30K later on that and another 50 on a 3uz.....

I'm not using the standard ECU, I'm using a local generic ECU.

    And the non-VVTi clocks 190kW and 353Nm.

The VVTi is rated a bit higher, but I'm not interested in trying to get variable valve timing to work anyway.

Price. I can't get anything else like that for around $500. With an Aisin auto box for $1000? Impossible.

You can screw over 2000 from a jz as long as you remove the front wheel to fit in the turbo and don't mind power occurring in a 80rpm band.

Seems like a few guys run big power in your Rovers, how do your axles and cvs etc hold up, and if they dont hold up whats your fix for this problem ?
