    Carby rangie starving for fuel

Hi just a question about the fuel system on my rangie. I have just replaced all the fuel filters on my 78 and it seem to be struggling to get fuel. it has the original fuel pump in front of of the left rear wheel which seems to be pumping quite well. The bowl is full but after that is a z14 in line filter. This filter only seems to get no more than half full and when I turn it off it drains back to empty. I have pulled the return off while the pumps on and has quite a good stream. It seems to drive ok but when I give it any stick it coughs and splutters. Any ideas?

Have you checked the dash pots for oil, also check that the diaphragms are intact. Could also be high resistance in the ignition circuit.

    Cheers J
