I would say, more than likely, not.
One is metric and the other imperial.
I believe one would be used on solid discs and the other vented.
Not sure but one may be dual circuit and the other may be single circuit.
There may be different mountings on the hubs.

A fellow recently tried to upgrade my '81 hybrid discs and callipers to a later model, stuffed it right up, and ended up putting '81 callipers and discs on.

If you do manage to do it (anything is possible with infinite time, money and resources), let us know how you go.

They will both be dual circuit, they will both be for solid discs, but the pipe threads will be different. The mounting holes may also be of different diameter.

the threads changed to metric with the "phase II" RRc (1985 model).

The best thing you can do is to convert the '88 to vented disks with second hand callipers from a '92 etc and new rotors. I did this to my '85 and the improvement is significant.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
