Just pick out the whole loom/ECU that does the injection. Your main issue is to have an EFI fuel pump and return lines. The easiest way is to get a complete steel tank from an 87-91 RRC as they mount exactly the same as the '85.

so as i have the whole car i can just use the tank and lines from the donor?
also will it make any dif that the ecu is form a auto going to a 5spd?

So long as your donor has the metal fuel tank you are OK. Plastic tanks have very different brackets, would be more work to fit. Don't think the ecu changes for auto or manual, the autobox is hydraulic control only.

To have it run 100% , you will have to fit a VSS ( vehicle Speed Sensor) to tell the injection that the car is moving.
This is needed for injector cut on overrun( fuel economy)
And idle up on stopping to prevent stall on stopping.

would there be one on the car im about to pull it out of it is a 1989 3.9 auto, if im going to put everything from the front end of the donor car in to my 85 rangie would i still be right or is this something that i will have to go out and buy on top?

It should be on the LH chassis rail, at the end of the speedo cable.
You would have to change over the instruments as the VSS drives the speedo on 3.9s.
I guess a cheap and cheerful solution would be to buy a cheap cruise control and use the driveshaft sensor to energise the ECU
