    Hella spotlights/arb winch bar mounting

Hi guys I've got some hella rallye 4000 that i want to put on my arb winch bar.

the problem is the design of the bar is inclined and the mounts for the lights is wide and flat and in the original spot they foul on the bullbar.

I've discussed they idea with a few people and come up with these additions to the bar in order to get the lights to mount up and not foul the barwork...

    anyone else got any input/ideas

What about a longer bolt on the light and a spacer cut to the right angle to mount the lights straight?

I'm fairly certain that a bullbar is designed a certain way and covered by ADRs so can't be repaired or modified except by a qualified person (glad to stand corrected if this is not correct) so in the event of an accident if someone is injured more as a result of your mods, you are legally liable. An alteration to the light however should be an acceptable mod. Just some food for thought thats all.

thought about that, they'll foul on the top bar....
it would be fine if i got lightforce ones as the mounts are different and would fit no worries.

yeah I see your point but i'll cross that bridge if it comes ot that. i think the standard design would be bad enough with the top brackets for the winch rollers. and this will be behind that point of contact.

I am not sure that cardboard held on with sticky tape will do the job as a light mount .

Other than that I can't see any issues. Will you be able to access the nut to do it up?

its really thick cardboard I was thinking of using some cable ties too

Yeah there is access for a ring spanner or I could drill a hole underneath for a socket but not sure how that affect the structural integrity of the bar
