    Central locking on rear window

    Hi all, just wondering if anyone has had any experience with the locking setup on the rear window (89 model)? I pulled it all apart but cannot work out how it is supposed to work? The central locking actuator works but all it does is move a small plastic lever that pivots over the push button shaft, but doesn't actually do anything?? Any help greatly appreciated.

    There is a spring that when it overcomes a certain point will then move that plastic lever and it will then be locked.
    The spring I am talking about is similar to the door locking springs that break, that you see adverstised on ebay, like a circle with two opposing end.
    maybe your spring is missing?

    Even when I physically move the plastic lever it doesn't lock the mechanism. All it does is pivot over the pushrod? I dont know if I'm missing parts but when you lock it with a key, nothing near that plastic lever moves?? Me no understandy! Does anyone have a parts diagram perhaps??

    On my 92 there is a collar that pushes on the spring, that AFAIR is just held by a crimped part on the rod. This can ride over the crimp and then be ineffective in pushing the spring to unlock.
    This happened to me and AFAIR, I added a more positive collar( made from a washer?) and it has worked since.

    can someoe show in picture the assembly, i'd love to have it on mine as i'm sick of finding the back unlocked after the other half has had reg out shopping
