How timeless these vehicles are!!! What a great model that was, yes lose the bullbar and all will be as factory
Great purchase, it'll give many years of enjoyment

I gave it a bit of a clean up today! The original dealer number plate frames and sticker an original touch though the Bullbar is hideous!

Where do you find them........That RR looks fantastic - just like a new one. It has to be an absolute pleasure to own and drive around in. I agree with JC too - timeless and that terrible bull bar has to go.
Believe it or not it was advertised in Just 4x4's for 2 months with no calls apparently! I came along and bought it off the family who had owned it since new. I have all the books, delivery docket from Patterson's of Rosebud and enough spares to maintain it for the next 100 years. I am a very happy man.![]()
Absolutely Super I also have a 4 door 1982 model 2 owners.
Your,s looks Smashing
Lovely colour and Fantastic condition, I miss my 74 two door but it is good too know the new owner is Very Very happy with it and it is still registered and being used. She blew one fuse in the 2 years I had her to the lights and never let me down, Travelled with JC many times and the only other issue I had was the diff switch failed and JC did a temp fix on the day B4 getting me a replacement off one of his own spare Rangies, BIG thankyou to Justin C for all his support for the last 2 to 3 years.
Will take some pics of mine and post today.
Cheers![]()
I am looking forward to seeing a few of you on the 23rd at Yarra State Forest! I will also nice to go out for a good drive in the Rover
Oh me, Oh my goodness, but what is to be done? Perhaps in this case the transgression is to be overlooked due to you being a new member of the Range Rover fraternity. However for your edification dear HPR50 the term a fellow bestows on his Range Rover is never the vernacular 'rover'. That term is reserved for the lesser drivers who drive the more agricultural products of this fine and esteemed British auto mobile manufacturer.
Might I suggest in future you use the more more gentile and refined term of 'Rangie 'or the more formal 'Range Rover' or even perhaps 'Classic' or for hastenings sake the abbreviation of 'RR' but never sir, never the word 'rover'. Forsooth but it conjures images of taking ones dog out in to the fields.![]()
Ha Ha Ha! My Bad! All my mates have called all 3 of my Rangies Rover's so it has kinda stuck hahaha. Speaking of which I hope the old girl can hold her head up high in the next couple of weeks as its heading to Anglesea on a day trip with a 75 series, a Hilux and a 100series. My last 94/95 ClassiC did well so I am hoping the original (and hopefully the best) can do the same!
Never doubt your Rangie HPR50. For as Sir Walter Raleigh laid down his coat in the mud so that Queen Elizabeth 1 would not get her feet dirty so too will those Japanese four wheelers lay themselves down in the bog holes so that your Rangie can progress unimpeded.
Very nice! It's amazing how well kept it looks. Hopefully the machanicals are just the same? Makes my Rangie look the "bogan" cousin!
Cheers,
Stu
