Could you possibly take some more photos of the mounts on the tailgate position and measurements say from the top corner of the tailgate . Frame position is self explanatory from the pics.You do have to drill out the top mounts and move them but this is no big deal.. I think it was rangie spares who did them.

What would life be without a Rangie?
I have the same conversion on the upper tail gate of my rangie and have no issues with it popping up. Its also an Aluminium one which I bought from MR Auto many years ago, pretty sure Maxi Drive used to make them. They do come up occasionally second hand. It was a bugger getting to old glass out of the rusted frame.
