    You do have to drill out the top mounts and move them but this is no big deal.. I think it was rangie spares who did them.
    Could you possibly take some more photos of the mounts on the tailgate position and measurements say from the top corner of the tailgate . Frame position is self explanatory from the pics.

    I have the same conversion on the upper tail gate of my rangie and have no issues with it popping up. Its also an Aluminium one which I bought from MR Auto many years ago, pretty sure Maxi Drive used to make them. They do come up occasionally second hand. It was a bugger getting to old glass out of the rusted frame.
