Brake Bleeding sequence 93 ABS, ETC

    Hi All,

One of the last things I need to do before I try and get a roadworthy is to bleed the brakes as I have replaced the accumulator and the pedal doesn't feel right.

I have before me a couple of pages of the sequence from another post I found but would like to clarify on a couple of things.

Step 5. - Bleed four front caliper lower bleed screws in the conventional manner. - What about the rear calipers? The only other mention is in step 9. where is says to Bleed power circuit at 4 calipers in turn. (upper bleed screw on front calipers). But what is it on the rear? lower bleed screw?

I also need to replace the brake hose between the reservoir and the Wabco pump. What size is it?

I guess it would be best to remove all 4 wheels at once and put the car on axle stands for this job?

    Cheers

    Steve

    G`day ,

yes , easier with the wheels off or at least the fronts .

The way the system works is , in step 5 your bleeding the front brake circuit when you get to step 9 the other 2 on the front are actually part of the rear brake circuit and why the 2 upper front and the rear are grouped .

If you follow the steps you`ll have no problems , your pedal will feel right , if anything is odd your pedal won`t .

Make sure the reservoir has enough when bleeding but no overfull when finished .

Can`t help with the pipe size .

    Range Rover Classic--Brakes

They were quite a bit cheaper a year ago.

$180 now + shipping. Still cheaper than buying here lol.

    Last Resort?

I'm in the process of reco-ing the ABS pump & accumulator.

If you are still in trouble, this was a very good $30 investment for me.
