Very hard to find an original 2 door Rangie, if it was real early and had the series 3 petrol cap it would be worth the money no doubt.

For 20K you can get a really good late model Discovery 2. Not sure on Rangies but surely you could get a late 90's early 00's model for that money.
Sounds like the exterior paint is a bit dodgy, and the interior has been retrimmed. IMHO if it was me I'd keep looking.

True though, $20k could buy a much newer Toorak Tractor....a 2004 Mercedes ML for example. A tad better in the private school car park I'd have thought.

That Rangie looks OK but the colour says Khaki?? Looks pretty beige to me. The price seems a bit "jousting sticks" to me. These vehicles will be worth that money one day but not today. Tell them they are dreaming.

When there are perfectly good early 90s Vogues going for less than $5K, what are you paying the $15K for? Carbies and 2 less doors? In any case, by definition Toorak Tractors have 4 doors.

Having said all that, if you have the cash and love it, you are going to buy it anyway.

I've been looking for the same sort of thing. Fact is, really nice, not clapped out or heavily modded 2 door Rangies are few and far between. If this is what you want, you could be waiting a while to get another.

But.... I called the seller (dealer) who said there was no records of work/maintenance at all with the car. Even though it's supposedly from a deceased estate, the lack of any paper work with a 35 year old one owner car is not only disappointing, it just doesn't seem right.

Given the rarity of top condition, low km, original spec, 2 door Rangies with full history, I don't think the price is wrong - but this car doesn't tick all those boxes. I'll pass on this one......
