basic service questions - RRC 1994

Don't be too harsh, my other RRC is an 81' manual so .......

    1994 RRC

    1. Where exactly is the OBD plug?
*OK I know it isn't OBD exactly but I'm sure i read somewhere you can get basic info with an OBD reader.

    2. Where is the filler, for the auto-transmission?

OBD 11 plugs were not required in Australia until AFAIK 2006, so they almost certainly do not have one.

I would think you have a dipstick in the engine bay on the RH of the engine. If so that is the filler.
If not then there is no filler other than a plug on the transmission.

Yep, filler-tube does double duty.... means decanting trans fluid into more manageable containers and a skinny funnel. - very slowly as you need to let the air out as you fill.......

In an RRC 94 the diagnostic connection is direct via correct cable to each ECU ie engine ems and abs ecu.

    Dunno...

I was hoping some Wise One will appear and give us the info ! - I need to read/clear faults in my ABS & TC plus the SRS (airbags) - The TC warning lamp has burnt out, hopefully the other two will follow it...

Start here:- Bearmach Omitec Hawkeye Diagnostic Tools at www.rimmerbros.co.uk

    Or here.... http://www.bearmach.com/downloads/Di..._v3and4_GB.pdf

Either way, I don't see too much change from $1,000

I've got the EAS Kicker to read, re-set and re-adjust my Air suspension, useful and great peace of mind.

I cleared my ABS & TC light by the blink method. Just used a paper clip to short a couple of pin outs on the ABS plug from memory and the sequences blink on the dash to let you know what faults there are. Works on my 93
