The Cranked RA's look to have been heated up with a gas axe & bent as they are not caster corrected, You would have to use caster correction bushes.

What does it matter?
AFAIK they are all the same dimensions except the later ones are wider at the bush.
The bent one is not a standard leading link. Someone has done some er "Home engineering"

Yeah , thats what I thought , that It was heated and Bent . Upon closer examination it appears that it was not heated !! That is the way it was made , there is no evidence wasting ,or thinning,or stretching in the transition area .After to speaking to the bloke I got them off , he claims they were fitted standard to a 1986 V8 County 110 . Can anybody tell why they came off from the Part Number ?

You could bend that thing in a good press, and why is the paint in better condition around the kink????

the kinked one looks like it may have been flame bent, even though your mate said it came off a 110.
it would have been a huge gas axe to heat it, but not impossible.
i would think that a hardness test would reveal that the bent part has lost it's heat treatment and is most likely soft in that area, but it may well have been done by reputable people and re heat treated.
do you have a pair of the cranked ones?
a quick test would be to use a 'click' punch in the bent area and see if all three indent the same when you click punch them.

Harry, I think you'll find the radius arms are cast steel and not heat treated at all and can be bent safely (even if it's illegal)

There is someone in the UK selling bent corrected arms. Don't state if they are heated or pressed.

Look it even has one caster correction bush in it.
Land Rover AFAIK never produced a bent leading arm.
It is a home job to correct caster on a lift.

I think Clubgreenie might be on to it
,Rick , the guy I got them off get most of his stuff from Ashcrofts / england direct for his TD5 2000 defer . PhillipA spotted the camber correction bush , its just a solid bush offset drilled but in the old black rubber style, never seen them before .(plenty of poly/Urethane super-pro ones) Cranked arms dont correct camber issues , they just unload the bush a little. Maybe Ill borrow the Brinell tester and try that , although good temepering back may hide any differences in Hardness .
