Wish I could help Adam, but I'm utterly helpless at wiring..plus I'm at the other end of the state!

[QUOTE=agrojnr;1656688]Ive bought a 89 rangie that has no electric window switches or loom so it seems, so I bought a loom and switches from a 93 model but now can't wire them up as they are different.
    Does anyone know how?

    This is what Ive got

Im sure the main loom there is only the rear and not the front it seems to go right to the back of the dash??

    Ok here is an update

The above loom in the pic has power and the loom goes from the blue plug all the way th the back of the dash (can't get my hand in there its behind the heater core) Ive tried the window switches on the rear doors but they dont work.
I have got another loom from an 86 model but it seems to be different again.

Now I thought the the lift unit and the relay's lived under the centre console but the 86 model had non

My rave cd is a little blury on the 89 wiring diagram so it makes it hard but the cars central locking does work (its part of the electric window wiring) and also the correct wires go into the front doors, BUT there are a few plugs under my dash that are not plugged into anything so I guess I have to start testing

    Anyone got any ideas

    colour codes

    Hi Adam

Get the wire codes for Range Rovers and try to match as many as possible then tag them as they are found .
With any wires left over then ask on here, using the wires colour and their trace, we should then be able to identify their purpose.

Well after 4 hours and a lot of head scratching I've sorted out the wiring for the electric windows but for some reason the original central locking wires are no longer needed

So I've just got to get plugs to mate the wires together and then make a new console
