    Wheels for a RRC

Hi guys I have a set of hurricanes? (I think their called).

I'm tossing up between getting them cleaned up (polish the raised bits, black paint in the recesses) or going full white powdercoated..

what are your opinions -at the moment I like the fully white cause it matches the car colour wheel but maybe cause its new paint

attached my MS paint attempt at a chop (PS experts feel like cleaning up the back wheel? - got someone on the case but not sure timeframe)

I prefer the metallic colour but the white is cool too.

I'd go for Polish the raised and black or what ever other colour you want in the recess

white might look good when its fresh and parked, but once driven a bit will showup brake dust, mud etc, will be a pain to clean and will never really look as fresh!

polished looks good, have a look at 400HPONGAS's rangie here http://www.aulro.com/afvb/1613829-post401.html
for idea on what it will look like.

Personally I would polish the outers and spokes, and colour code the inbetween bits, not paint them black.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

I have them on my POS. Not into tempting bling. I actually stripped the clear coating off and let them go grey.

Will be getting a new set of tyres soon, will sand blast outside of rims (gently), coat with clear and all will be good. Grey is good for me.

    cheers, DL

With same base color as my 88RRC ,they look a lot better in Black and polished spokes ,easy to clean once pro=polished.
Only thing is I had Cheviot make mine in 1982 ,custom jobs ,15 x 8 s with 1 1/2 offset. Been on 4 RRC's and Disco's ,wouldnt sell them for anything !!!

    thanks guys.
The polished does look the good.
I do like the white, however I think them showing up the dirt/brake dust will annoy me too much

PS certainly works wonders for making the wheels look polished
