Great idea, I wanted to run one in an LT95 but there is a size issue...

I can only imagine what it is, from what that name suggests, where are they found normally and are there any benefits from having one?

    No.

Firstly, as JC pointed out they wouldn't fit, and secondly why would you want one ? Just what you need. Guaranteed transmission wind up. A bad idea.

But having said that I think LR did play with a centre LSD some time ago before they had a dose of the common senses and gave it away.

Now a viscous centre diff is a totally different kettle of fish and work very well. My P38a had one as did my Jeep Grand Cherokee and the old VW 4X4 I used to drive for work.

    Expand and discuss.

    This should be good.

    Jon you are a stirrer
Quaife did in fact make a replacement centre diff for the LT230
The beauty I can see is the increase in durability

It is a great idea, I would run one if I still had an LT230.

I had a quick look at that link. Can you lock the Quaife diff? If not, what stops it from reverting to completely open action if you lift a wheel at one end (as my torsen lsd does in my rear diff).
