    E10

    Hi,

I am new to the AULRO, and this is my first post. I have a 93 Vogue SE and was wondering if it is acceptable, or alternatively very bad, to use E10 unleaded petrol in RRs?

It should run quite well, however due to the ethanol content it should be used regularly or it may collect water and damage metal parts in the fuel system, e.g. fuel level sender. Your fuel cap and venting system should be able to keep pressure in your tank to prevent moist air being dragged in all the time. Also it is not recommended to use E10 in dual fuel vehicles as it sits in the tank too long.

I presume you mean it should NOT be used regularly?

No to be used regularly ie used as soon as possible and not stored in your tank for a while to prevent water build up.

Applies to my 3.5V8 - I only do about 3000km a year and mainly on gas so petrol may sit in my tank for long periods - not good if E10 but not such an issue if normal unleaded.
