    knocking noise on full lock - '76 2-door

    Good day!

    Noticed a knocking noise when reversing on full lock, seem to be coming from the front somewhere. It was last driven by someone who forgot to disengage the difflock for about 2kms of twist tarmac after the dirt road ended.....

    Any ideas what it could be?

    good chance one of your CV's is getting tied....

    from memory if you are on left lock its the right CV, maybe somebody could confirm this theory

    Put some oil in the swivel hubs first.
    I had this problem 15 years ago on an 1984 model and its still going 200K later!
