Once you have it "top hatted"....... :p

I have just done this,,
a remanufactured short engine from Turners in the UK.
4.6 top hat with 4L pistons and their H180 cam. A good skim of the heads and it should be good for around 10.1( I hope).
Some new cooling bits and installed at British Off Road for all up somewhere around 8k.
I'd be spending some money on getting the gearing back to standard with some new diff gears or a Defender transfer case. At least then your not loosing power because of larger tyres.
Are you planning on keeping 32" tyres or go bigger?
Bee Utey!!
Thank you so very much! Thats what I needed to know and will be getting this done ASAP!... probly right after the rear locker is fitted lol :)
Thank you again!
Also... those bosh 4 hole injectors... do they fit right in and also fit the injector plug??
That is awesome!
I think it would fit there with my draws in.... only have the sill tanks on long trips ay?? drop them to save weight when your not using them I guess??
I might look in to doing that or setting mine up so I can do that.... good idea! :)
Thanks again - I might search around and also call LRA and see if they have any "Out the back" so to speak :)

Its more of a clearance issue on the more challenging trips. I found they were making contact with the ground/rocks and limiting where I could go as well as damaging the tanks. The ones I have do hang down below the sill on the outer edge and then slope down towards the bottom of the trailing arm/radius arm mounts.
The water tank fits in neatly and shouldn't stick out into the opening of the tailgate to interfear with the draws.
I leave the draws/water tank etc all in the vehicle, much easier and saves storing them elsewhere.
Depending how the sill tanks are attached to the vehicle may alter how the sliders are attached.
Nope! I like my rangie too much - I'll put a TD4 in it before I get a def-ender! :)
