If you had 10k to spend.......

If you had 10k to spend on the following - what would you do???

**Note - the car's main use now is off-road - with minor run around trips. and off road means fairly serious off road and the long travel to such places.

    RRC with :

4.6lt V8 - no engine work done (Stock)
    Full pipe system & extractors
Maxi Drive Axles all round (24 sp)
    Disco Diff's
    2.5" lift
    265/75/16 (Stock rims)
Drivers side sill tank for petrol (40lt)
Drivers side rear quarter sill tank (40lt)
twin LPG tanks where main fuel tank used to be (80lt usable)

***EDIT: I do also have the following:
HID had lights with HID lens's
    Winch
Duel battery setup but it will be going to Piranha Offroad for a full setup and new batterie straps and batteries

Shes booked in to ARB for a rear diff locker, high flow pump & upgraded air hoses for the locker.
I have managed to get Rover craft to sell to me - so I am picking up QT engine mounts next week.

I am thinking engine upgrades for the fuel system and also for the gas system.... BUT - if you had this setup and 10k to sink in to it - what would you do??

(Also look here at qtservices.co.uk - there are a few suspension kits I like from there that include dislocation cone setups... can someone explain how that works?)

What kind of gas mixer do you have on the engine? If its an Impco 200, you'll gain 25% power just by replacing that.

As for changing ECUs and computerised ignition systems, I wouldn't waste $10K there, I'd spend most of it on a hi comp top hat linered exchange 4.6 so I'd get reliability. About $1K on the gas, tops, new radiator and bits, ignition module upgrade (or Scorcher dissy) and your money would be almost gone.

Oh and unless you have rear chassis mods, your LPG should fill to 70 litres, no more. APA twin tanks are 44 litres water capacity each, 80% is roughly 70L.

Might be worth looking at sill tanks for both sides, however these can reduce your ground clearance, then get a water tank for the rear - I think LRA make them for the RRC and they fit in between the rear seats and the back, where the jack etc is normally fitted.

Another sill tank is in the works - along with rock sliders from brown davis
(BTW - anyone else I should try?? Brown davis quoted me about 1200 for scrub bars from the bull bar down to the sill and then on as rock sliders)

I like this idea of the water tank - BUT... draws are going in first then I can get the tank designed.

    Gas system suggestions:

    OMVL gas converter
46mm bore "AMR" brand mixer, part no. M352 or M353
"Gastec" brand, FP50-TOW electronic mixture control (fuel processor) and O2 sensor, you get max economy for cruise and full power too. Tuning lights built in for easy adjustment.
Fitted cost of above, $1K, maximum (=tops, a colloquial word)

    Ignition system suggestions:

replace the Lucas module (=amplifier) with a Bosch one, thread here:
Lucas ignition amplifier replacement by Bosch 024
Or buy a Scorcher brand dissy ready to fit from Performance Ignitions.

    Bosch Scorcher?

I have one on my 3.9.

Built by a mob here in Victoria using Bosch components originally for Holden V8s. Swap from the original Lucas was much better straight off the bat.

    Water Tank

This is the tank I was talking about, however it is listed as not available but they do come up second hand occasionally. I have this on the drivers side but due to the draws which I fitted and having wider tyres I had to relocate the spare.

I only have the sill tanks fitted when going on long trips.

    Other things to consider:
dual battery system with option of additional plugs at rear of vehicle
    headlight/driving light upgraded wiring kit
    winch
