When touching this wire to the stalk lights came on. Easy fix I thought lol. Whilst looking around to see if there were any other issues I managed to short out the main light switch/stalk. That went up in flames in 2secs. So I replaced it with a switch from my 89 classic with no luck. I don't have park lights/dash lights. All fuses and relays I can find are ok. Is there any other areas I should be looking for an open circuit? I was hoping the damage would be limited to the lights on/offswitch.
As I was unable to solder the wire back on to the snapped connection I was quoted $175 for a new indicator stalk which I can’t afford. No one in Adelaide seems to have a SH unit.
I also have a 89 parts car so I’ve was looking at upgrading the dash at some stage and though I might be able to splice the later model Colum switches but the wiring is totally different And I only have the 85 wiring diagram.

Thanks for any assistance.
