1: Depends how it is driven.
2: Depends how it is driven, but generally no.
whats the biggest tire size that i can go on a 10 Spline rover axle?
would the 10 spline be strong enough to run a arb air locker?
I'm asking these questions because im planing on build my 1991 RRC to be an expedition / rock crawler. i been told by some one on another land rover forums that the biggest tire that i can use is a 265/75R16. i have the 2 inch ome set up and running 225/75R16. so im asking you guys for a 2nd opinion

As Jon mentioned, with careful driving, 10 spline axles should hold up fine with bigger rubber, however your mention of rock crawling doesn't fill me with confidence.
Shock loads caused by driving on rocks would snap a 10 spline like a pretzel. Do yourself a favour and save up and do the job properly if you intend to do this sort of thing.
Mine still has the original 10 splines in it after 25 years, and it was used for towing most of the time, but everything was smoothly loaded so no breakages...

Ive been running 32"tyres for a while now 235/85x16 and yes they are hard on the axles and centres (last rangie put the crown wheel through the housing and smashed the spider gears)
I would save up and get late model disco axles 94-98 they have all the bits you want

well my brother found a 1995 land rover disco for cheap dont know whats all wrong with it. well this work as a parts truck??
Yep as long as it has the 24 splines which I think that's what you guys got over there I don't think the early disco got there, just about everything is swappable except the body parts
