Does this mean that you are not going to sell me those flares?
Haven't heard from you in a while.

Just a thought if you want a restored one....
look up berkshire land rover and see what they can do for you perhaps?
I used to be their parts manager before I moved over here and we did a lot of defender restorations, glavy chassis, new panels, retrims, upgrades, engine swaps....aka the works.
We would often source a vehicle for a customer then restore it to their specs and ship them out to the US.
Give Charles mogford a direct email (he's the owner tell him I sent you for a slightly better rate)
Good company, been featured in a few mags now and all the techs are ex dealer that know their stuff as we all used to work at the same dealership together before he stole us! :D
its gone mad for two doors, I am not knocking it though as my suffix A was a good investment at £900 3 years ago lol :D
infact I got my p76 motor from a 2 door that somone brought back from aus to a local specialist and had it put back to original because its worth more money like that here. it was also rust free becuase it was from over your side, something you never find in damp old uk!
Thanks for all your input guys I think ghillies hit the nail, I'm just going to have to be patient it's hard having that sort of money lying around for a toy the defender could look pretty awesome for that, or my wife might want it for renos. Just got to remember how good those things sound pulling in third at about 2800 revs music for my soul.
Here you go 78RRman - the CTS has just posted a very early two door. They're only asking $16k and looks like it will only be another $10k to put it all in order!!!
It looks nice and original - but is not a cheap "project".
Oops - gone already:o
Call me stupid what is CTS?
I change my mind once a month the one I have in my driveway isn't to far gone it has original running gear and matching numbers and I'm very attached to it just needs time which I'm short on at the moment. So a finished one sounds great and easy, or I could do the right thing and put another classic back on the grid. Put some fresh fuel in it well I was home and a set of jumper leads and she fired within 3 seconds of turning the key after 12 months wouldn't go into gear though the clutch felt normal but wasn't releasing the plate?
CTS = Classic Throttle Shop
It sounds like you just need to reflect on your options for a while.
My suggestion is that you keep an eye out for a 2 door that meets your "finished one" requirement and if you see what you're looking for - make up your mind then.....
