some good data there , tbh below 1200 rpm wont be hugely common on petrol as it will only be offroad where it revs that low when driving and like I said when its offroad it will be on gas mostly- that carbys is no good at offroad angles anyway I gather.
now when pulling away and merging I will be going up to and a little over 3k rpm so maybe there is a need for a bigger carby with this cam and compression to get the most after such an expensive re-build it would be a shame not to investigate going the whole 9 yards even if I only end up using the std carby.
so what inlet mods is required to run the holly truck avenger on the 4.4 manifold , anyone using them in Aus?

Why not go EFI, great systems available, no problems with running at angles, program it to make the most of any engine mods.

Get an Edelbrock dual plane manifold and a Rochester Quadrajet. If the Rochester is not a late model, get the float bowl packer that was standard on the later ones and fit it. Rochester published instructions for preparing these carbs for off-road racing. Follow these. Qjets have small primary throats for economy and excellent low speed performance and huge vacuum secondaries for top end go. Later ones are rated at 870cfm all four open wide. Venturi area is greater then 3 x 2" SU's.
