    Smile ABS Upgrade

Those who have had an ABS pump fail on RRC might have scratched their heads, bought a newie, sent it to Arizona for rebuild, .....

I wonder if the pump and accumulator from P38a would be suitably adapted.

They look similar, mounting would probably not be an issue.

Anyone like to proffer an opinion? Anyone done this?

Ive seen pictures of classics with the p38pumps in. I dont know if the accumulator charge hose would fit on the p38pump though.

Yes they do, and yes it is possible, and yes the accumulators are cheaper than the classic ones, too.

Thanks, Justin. A mate of mine has an ongoing problem, and this will solve it.

    Cheers

as in yes it's a straightforward changeover, or is there a lot more involved?
