    Pondering a 74 2 dr purchase vs a 93

    Hi All,
    I am pondering purchasing a 74 2 dr RR. Brief description is
    4.4 p76 rover Moyer 2 inch lift 15*8 rims New clutch on gas fitted in 2012 cd and more

    Body is a bit rough, but it looks like it might have been well sorted out and the motor I think is fairly new.

    I am looking for something to tow a 2-3t boat to the river and back on occasions, as well as going to get the odd car on a trailer.

    Other option is a 93 RR, but not on gas.

    Any thoughts? I am used to Disco 300tdi's, but got sick of cooking motors.

    Erik, I would favour the 93 car if it is in good condition. Parts can still be got from UK and even TRS (interior, etc), but the later the car, the better.

    Good choice,the 4.4litre motor has plenty of torque,I just wish I could find a good one for my 85 RRC

    Thanks mate,
    I never knew that the P76 had a sought after motor until I started talking to Classic owners. There must be one somewhere nearby that you can grab?
