    Fuel Tank Bracket

    Hello, these are some pics of the fuel tank bracket on the rear crossmember of my 81 model. As you can see there's a bit of corrosion. Just wondering what other people have done to fix this.

    Options that I can see are
    1 cut the whole thing off and fabricate a new one
    2 cut the dodgy bits out and repair
    3 weld plates over the whole bracket
    4 do nothing, do some anti rust treatment and hope it holds together

    I ground the whole piece off and then welded a piece of angle on at the same angle and then drilled and welded on new threads for the bolts.
    it wasnt that hard.
