    What's the story building a 4.6 to fit in a classic and working with the 14CUX injection?

    Can you simply do the block/crank/pistons and mod the heads and injection system to suit?

    Yes, just bolt it all up, and then send the ECU to these guys; https://www.google.com.au/search?q=b...hrome&ie=UTF-8

    And all will be well

    Dougal this is my fault I have misinformed Jose I assumed that the Nanocom turbo pressure would be linear with the boost box in place.
    I therefore calculated the boost to be 1.3 bar I was set straight by another tuner and put a manual gauge on it and it is running 1.65 bar.
    Sorry to all for any confusion.

    [QUOTE=Dougal;1974791

    Why are you only using 1.3 bar on a 2256V? I have this exact compressor built into a turbo for my work car, they are tested reliable to over 26psi (1.8 bar).
    1.3 bar is roughly stock boost, with only stock boost you can only gain a fraction by richening the mix.

    400nm is easily achieved, add more cubic inches
    So true. If you want torque without turboing or supercharging, then thats the only way.

    Dougal, you may want to look into putting the gems injection in; not much wrong with the hotwire. But for not a whole heap of work fully sequential injection, and a better oil pump. Gems ecu can be programed to run without the security code from a becm. So if you go changing cams, compression ratios, lpg/ulp etc it'll adjust whereas the 14cux wont really do that to much.

    It gets tiring watching someone with no real life experience do their best to run down someone, whom quite clearly gets results, and the secondary effects of that, is an extremely talented tuner will not bother frequenting the forum, think of the plethora of information Jose could provide TD5 owners, yet dougal has a magical THEORY about diesel tuning but better keyboard and baffling skills then Jose, so whilst he may "appear" smarter, its doing alot of damage behind the scenes, plus he can't back up any tuning experience of TD5 engines

    On another note, thanks JC, weather is beautiful, there is an abundance of work in PNG, I'll try snavel a local rag on the trip out

    hahaha so you only drive your LR around empty on short trips, never in summer or doing any kind of work.

    If someone told me 600c was safe for reliabilty at hwy speed id steer clear of their product.

    I'd expect most following this thread, with TD5's at least, would be interested in what type of results you've had in tuning the TD5 in a reliable specification and how it compares to other options out there.
