    Classic Cruise Control.

Does anyone know what controls the cruise control in a 93 classic?

Mechanically it's a pneumatic/vacuum system. But I want to know if it is tied to the EFI in any way or can operate another engine when the EFI system is removed.

    CC ecu

IFAIR, the CC ecu has an input from the vehicle speed buffer on pin 11, and input(s) from brake and clutch (uncoupling CC) as well. I don't recall any inputs from engine ecu as controllers for the CC.

On my '95 the Cruise Control ECU is located up behind the glove box.

RAVE is indeed your friend when fault-finding. Print out the section and write your readings on it.

(makes it easier if/when you go back over it 'cos it still is'nt working, - 'cos you did'nt follow the proceedure...)

Thanks but no. It's the factory installed system I have and need to know more about.

    Wink Where and what

93 car - "near steering column above lower dash panel"

Depending on what has happened in the past, aluminium case on 2 screw mountings - either AMR 2524 or AMR 1173. The latter ecu is same as Disco 1.

Usual faults with RRC cruise control - cracked hoses, incorrectly set pedal switch, faulty cruise cassette under steering wheel, faulty steering wheel switches - generally in that order.

Get RRC info cd from the shop in the top line.
