I am pretty sure that 84s had the leaded high comp engine with terrible cam and air injection.
I believe there should be a steel rail above each exhaust manifold connected to ports where the bolts are next to the manifold and an air injection pump . there should be hoses joining this up to the air injection pump via thermostatic switches.
There should also be a complicted flap thingo that goes on the air cleaner to direct air from the exhaust manifold when cold along with the relevant thermo controls to switch the air intake from down on the manifolds to up between the heads.
IMHO , your chances of finding this stuff now are zero zilch nada. Unless there is a train spotter on this forum who has the last remaining example of this unloved setup in the world. Maybe bribery or pleading would be more appropriate/successful.
I am surprised that you were not called on the K&Ns as open air cleaners are prohibited in NSW anyway.
